Earliest Australians May Have Invented The Axe – WA Discovery Revealed

kimberly-WA-300x169The earliest Australians may be the creators of the axe, according to scientists who have identified a 50,000 year old fragment in Kimberley, Western Australia.

Archaeologists found the tool in the remote Kimberley region which indicates that early Australians were technological innovators and were more advanced in their tool use than previously thought.

Scientists discovered the fragment, about the size of a thumbnail and placed it among the oldest pieces of evidence showing human activity in Australia.
